A beautifully set table is one of my favourite things! Whether it’s at a dinner party, wedding, restaurant or even just at home I think it can make a meal even more delicious! There are so many different ways to make a table look amazing and it doesn’t need to cost a lot. Adding flowers to create a beautiful table setting is probably the easiest and most inexpensive way. Adding colour through place mats or table runners can look great too, but sometimes its good to think outside the box and find different ways to create a beautiful table setting, here’s a few to try and some inspiration:
– Decorate from nature: try driftwood and shells, bunches of herbs or just a sprig on each plate, a pot of succulents or vases of stones and greenery.
– Colour: Choose a colour and stick with it, choosing one colour to create a table setting can make it easier to find what you need and creates a dramatic effect. Alternatively mixing different coloured vases and crockery can be a beautiful look and easy to put together with what you already have at home.
– Go With What You Have: If you already have some fabric at home that you aren’t using, why not make it into napkins, even linen with a fraying edge can look great. If you already have a great table cloth at home then use that as the starting point and go with the colours in that for the rest of the table setting.
– Flowers, Flowers, Flowers: As mentioned before flowers are the easiest way to make a table setting look beautiful. Flowers from the florist are great, but a few posies of flowers form the garden in mismatched vases or jars can look even better!
