Pink is a polarising colour, most people either love it or hate it. I have to say I have never been a fan of using pink in my home. Then last week I found myself buying pink and grey pillowcases! They might not be bright pink, but they are still pink and I was very surprised that I bought them. Pink is starting to pop up in lots of homes as a shade to pair with greys and whites. Its a muted pink that we are seeing, a blush, a pastel, a rose. Its a subtle pink that is popping up everywhere and is being used form the living room to the bedroom. So are you a fan of Pink or not? These rooms take a fresh approach to using pink, from the walls to a piece of furniture. Maybe one of these rooms will change your mind!

This pink couch works so perfectly in this room. Its a bold choice to use such a bright colour for a large piece of furniture, but the tone of this pink is quite subdued and pops against the black and white accessories. Black and white is a perfect pairing for pink and seem to modernise the whole feel of the room.

This is the tone of pink that is to be everywhere, a dusky, muted pink seen in the accessories of this room against the pastel wall. The pink in the lamp, cushions and rug work so beautifully with the soft grey of the couch and throw. Keeping the styling simple in a pink room is key to making it feel more modern and not too over the top. Perfect styling in this pink room!

Now this is a brave choice! Pink in a kitchen is not for everyone, but this pastel pink island bench is a beautiful surprise against the wood and white in the rest of the kitchen. The use of the wooden top and the straw baskets against the pink helps neutralise it a little. Choosing to use the pink only on the island bench is quite clever, in that it can easily be painted over if they feel like a change.
The very pale pink used in this room works perfectly with the feminine, traditional décor of the room. The touches of gold and pops of bright colours in the décor look great against the pink backdrop. Pink accessories, such as the cushion and throw on the bed are a really good way to tie it all together, without going overboard with pink. Grey and gold, as used in this room are the perfect partners for most shades of pink.

This Scandinavian style room is perfectly pink! The dusky rose tone of pink is a great offset to the modern furniture, accessories and simple styling. The cluster of black and white frames on the pink wall are a great choice and a way to make the pink room appear a little more masculine. My favourite pairing with this pink room would have to be that gold light fitting, it really catches the eye!
Using pink at home doesn’t have to be scary! Just add a couple of pink accessories instead of taking the leap to painting the walls pink. It is a colour that surprisingly works well with so many others. Most tones of pink work well with grey, gold, copper, white and even a dark blue.
