We have been eating dinner outside this week, the weather has been perfect! While we have enjoyed it, our outside area leaves a lot to be desired. As the Christmas holidays creep closer, I know we will be spending more and more time dining outside, so I have been looking for some ideas for creating inviting and fun outdoor areas. I love the idea of home décor being inspired by travels, using memories of favourite destinations to get some ideas. Have a bit of fun with outdoor décor, add some colour, add a patterned rug, find some beautiful cushions. Think about all the colours and textures you have experienced on your travels. Consider the lighting as it helps create ambiance, maybe a Moroccan style lantern or Balinese inspired bamboo lighting. If you can create the perfect travel inspired outdoor area, there will be no need to leave all summer long!
