The 2 Belinda’s
Having gained their expertise over a 25 year period, The 2 Belinda’s have:
- built 8 new dwellings
- renovated over 30 properties for themselves (both residential and commercial),
- subdivided blocks of land, and
- held multiple investment properties in Australia and overseas.
With their hardworking husbands, they have worked on units, houses, commercial premises, and assisted many other investors with their property developments.
Together Belle 1 and Belle 2 have a vast knowledge of all the details involved in creating wealth through property development, and specialise in creating beautiful homes on a budget, creating a designer look at an affordable price with the specific intent to add value. The 2 Belinda’s are passionate about what they do and love coaching others build a life they love through property investment, renovating for profit and creating beautiful homes on all budgets no matter how small.
So how did they get started? Well, here are their own personal stories…
Hi I’m Belle 1 ( Belinda W )
My handyman education began when I was a child. I remember helping my dad decorate our home with a new wallpaper and paint that mum had chosen. My parents let me select my own colours scheme for my bedroom when I was a teenager. I was hooked. I loved painting even then.
When I met Mr. Belle 1, he was renovating a workers cottage in Sydney so I enthusiastically became his labourer. Since then we have been a great team renovating and/or building over 20 properties as our needs and desires changed. We have learnt many DIY skills along the way, made mistakes and discovered tricks of the trade to create a beautiful homes on a budget.
My love of historic buildings led me to study a Heritage Decorating Course in Sydney and work as a consultant for Mother of Pearl & Sons as well as Magins Architectural Hardware. When the children were older and we moved north, I opened an Interior Design store in Byron Bay. I have since connected with some wonderful suppliers and discovered lovely homewares and furniture that looked designer – without the price tag.
I have worked on both commercial and residential projects in all budgets, and love creating a space that my clients love. Learning key strategies for successful profits from renovating has given us a life we love here on the North Coast working our own hours and spending quality time with family and friends as well as soaking up the beautiful countryside where we live. This would not have been possible if I stayed as a teacher and my husband an artist. I have helped many others realise their dream life and create wealth through great investing strategies. There is so much opportunity out there for everyone at all levels.

Hi and I’m Belle 2 ( Belinda S )
I live in Sydney. I too, grew up with parents who loved DIY. Luckily I married Brett, who was handy and prepared to give anything a go. So for the past 28 years of our married lives, we have built a property portfolio of residential and commercial properties, completing most of the work ourselves. We have learned to renovate, decorate and present houses for sale (or rent), in Australia and New Zealand, with a minimum spend and for maximum profit.
With a passion for property, I completed courses in Real Estate, Bookkeeping and Finance, while managing our property investments company. Also, I am delighted to say that I have had a couple of articles published in Real Estate and Investor magazines. I have developed successful investment strategies that have enhanced our income and allowed us to purchase large beautiful homes for our family to grow up in. I enjoy sharing the vast knowledge I have developed through educating myself in all aspects of property investing and the successful renovation strategies. I have earnt more money through property investment than I could ever make as a police officer. Helping other families have success too is a passion for me.

Hi I’m Jenna and I’m part of the Oohm team
I have always loved everything to do with home decor, design and styling. It started from day dreaming about the perfect bedroom as a little girl, to re-organising my parents furniture as a teenager and now to creating a beautiful home for my two children and husband.
After studying writing and media at university, I worked assisting stylists at home magazines including Home Beautiful and Inside Out. Also working on photo shoots for homewares companies such as Sheridan. I have also spent many years visual merchandising for different homeware companies including Domestic Textiles and International Homebrands.
As long as I’m working with beautiful things and creating a beautiful home for my family I’m happy!
I absolutely love being part of the oohm team with The 2Belinda’s, assisting with styling, social media and writing for the oohm blog has been a great way to continue my passion for design! I hope you love all the ideas I share for creating a beautiful home on a budget.
And I’m Darlene
I was born in Canada where I studied Interior Design. I began my career with various projects including office spaces, restaurants and many residential properties. In 2001, I moved to Australia to study Aromatherapy which I enjoyed, but my true love of the design world won out. I worked re-modelling both commercial and residential projects throughout the beautiful Byron region including holiday homes. My passion is to style homes for sale, de-clutter overstocked homes or decorate a space for a special event such as Christmas, reunions, house warming etc I can turn an ordinary room into the most loved room. Using proportion, flow, colour & textiles it’s amazing how a space can be transformed. I love to push the boundaries and embrace an eclectic look and encourage others to be brave, choosing what they love, not just the latest trend. I believe that each home deserves to have a decor that reflects those that live there, individually designed for them and their lifestyle.
Relocating back and forth between Australia and Canada has proven to be challenging, so after living abroad for the past few years, I have left the cold winter of Canada and returned to our home in beautiful Byron Bay and the heat of Australia’s Summer.
I worked with Belle 1 when she had her interior design store in Byron Bay and now love being a part of the Oohm team and working with The2Belinda’s community of home lovers – helping create beautiful homes on a budget.
