I’m lucky enough to spend time every week looking at gorgeous homes and décor. This last week every room that has caught my eye seems to have a Scandinavian style to it, I’m thinking of ideas for my new home and gravitating towards a certain look. It’s the neutral tones mixed with natural materials that epitomises Scandinavian style. These elements create a welcoming, lived in and relaxed décor style that is easily achieved and can be created on a budget. Scandinavian style decor is minimal in use of colour, taking hues from the surrounding landscape, but creates cosiness with layering and texture. It is a style characterised by white surfaces, natural wood, functionality and form. Often with an industrial edge, Scandinavian style has an easy elegance about it. These dining rooms take their cue from a Scandinavian aesthetic and they are our rooms of the week!
