Well we have been very busy here renovating our Retro Cottage. So over the past 2 weeks, the boys finished off the wall linings in our unit downstairs, the electricians roughed in all the lighting and power point positions and the stairs have been installed. Outside the boys started building the top storey deck. It has been extremely busy and noisy, with the builders onsite at 6.30am each day there is no sleep in. It is difficult at times, but I can’t wait to have an outdoor area and sit and take in the view! It will all be worth it in the end!
So all is going well and we are happy with the progress. BUT THEN, Mr Belle 1 decided the stairs needed to be installed while I was out meaning a gaping whole in my living room floor, dust everywhere and a risky entry into the kitchen. Ahhhhhhh!
Renovating – the joys and the heartache!!!!
My gorgeous 31/2 year old granddaughter offered to help clean up all the dust. She did a great job and made a painful job a fun day.
It is wonderful to have internal access to the unit now, but living on a building site is not so fun somedays. Here’s til next weeks reno update….
