Besides all the necessary must haves to survive while camping, with a little more thought (+luggage) and extra preparation you can easily make your camping holiday a little more luxurious. While space restricts what you can pack, remember there is no one way to create your little slice of camping heaven. It’s what you love and desire that can make the difference. So here are a few tips to get you thinking about what you want for your next camping trip.

* A beautiful spot with electrical facilities or take a generator if not
* A good sized tent that is totally waterproof and leak free
* A comfortable mattress, either a deluxe air bed or a memory foam mattress that rolls up easily
* Luxurious bedding. Bring along your favourite sheets, doona, plush throw and a bunch of cushions to create a little home away from home
* A great floor rug or a piece of timber look linoleum to dress up the floor
* Some comfy chairs and cushions
* A cane basket is a great way to carry and store things for your trip and then becomes a great coffee table. If you don’t have a cane one, then a plastic container will do but take along a table cloth to dress it up as a little table
* A few accessories like candles, books, a lamp and one décor thing you love
* Some fabric to hang on the walls of to dress up the tent.
* Your special treats like wine, homemade cake, dips and biscuits or some gorgeous chocolate. The choice is yours…..
