Get Inspired by Your Favourite Café Décor!

by

Have you ever walked into a café to grab a coffee and developed décor envy? Or (like me) just wanted to visit a certain café, restaurant or bar just because the décor looks amazing? I have been guilty of this so many times! There are so many great ways to take inspiration from a café and use it in your own home. It might be a beautiful table setting, artwork, finishes or the entire look of a café that can be inspiration for a kitchen or dining room. Café décor has to be inviting, warm, unique and exciting to make a passer-by want to go in. Different elements of design make up the entire look of a café space, choosing the right finishes, the right furniture and the right lighting are important in creating a beautiful space. There are so many different décor looks in cafes, bars and restaurants all over the world, that I had to narrow it down to my three favourite décor styles for inspiration! Next time you’re in your favourite café take in the décor (feel free to post it to our Facebook page) and gain a little inspiration for your own home!

Parisian Chic

From luxurious marble and pastel hues to rustic, industrial design a Paris café is a décor lovers dream! The look is often understated elegance and relaxed chic. Think bistro chairs, marble countertops, rustic wooden floors and pendant lighting.

Beach Vibe

There are so many gorgeous cafes, restaurants and bars along our coastlines and throughout the world that I decided to narrow it down to my two favourites for inspiration. Firstly Halcyon House in Cabarita, this is a boutique hotel and restaurant with envy inducing décor! An eclectic mix of prints, artworks and pops of deep blue that give a coastal vibe with a feel of relaxed luxury. I cant wait to take a little inspiration from Halcyon House for my own home!

The Surf Lodge Montauk NY in the hamptons is my other pick for beachy décor inspiration. It has a relaxed surfer vibe with a boho feel. The interiors mix raw wood finishes with pops of bright colour and industrial touches. The walls are adorned with surf photography and surfboards. The mix of boho and beachy is fun and inviting and could easily translate into home décor. This is a great bar and restaurant to take a little inspiration from for any beach house!

Industrial design

Industrial look décor is often used in cafes and restaurants. Its a great style to try at home particularly in the kitchen and dining area. It’s a look that uses raw materials, lots of wood and metal and emphasises function and style. Other characteristics of industrial design are exposed brick surfaces, exposed pipes and metal lighting fixtures. Take a little inspiration from industrial style café décor for your home. Add some industrial style pendant lights in the kitchen, choose a raw wood finish dining table or stainless steel bench tops.
