I am the first person to admit that I absolutely love a white kitchen! Lately though, I have been thinking seriously about what I want in a kitchen, as we move towards building our first home. I have always known I would go for white, keep it classic and simple, but on the flip side I wish I was a little braver with colour. Using colour in the kitchen, whether it’s cabinetry, tiles or paint, is a bold move and really does give a kitchen that individual look. I love the idea of adding colour to an island bench or choosing beautiful patterned tiles. Blues and greens are a great choice for a kitchen because they are fresh, cool colours, which work really well with whites and neutrals. Using a warm colour like red, orange or yellow, is a brave choice in a kitchen, creating a warm, inviting feel for the heart of the home.
