It’s easy to just use the coffee table for storage, or not use it at all, but it is surprisingly easy to get your coffee table looking lovely. Here are 5 quick tips for styling your coffee table that are easy and practical!
1. Use a Tray
Using a tray to display a handful of items together works perfectly on a coffee table. It’s an easy way to organise things and style them together. Having a tray on the coffee table breaks it up into sections and makes it easier to style. Choose a coloured tray and display neutral items or display colourful items on a neutral tray. Use the tray to display items you love and you can’t go wrong!
2. Display a Collection
The coffee table is the perfect spot to display a collection of things you love. A beautiful collection of glass bottles, shells or vases look great all grouped together on the coffee table. They might be items that would usually be kept in the cupboard or stored away, so displaying them as a collection on the coffee table is a good way to get to use them.
3. Add Something from Nature
Adding a touch of the great outdoors always looks lovely when styling a coffee table. Simple branches, plants and greenery, flowers, driftwood or rocks and shells are all good ways to add something natural to the table. The natural elements add texture to the display and is easy to change up at any time.
4. Books, Books, Books!
Well they are called coffee table books, so I had to include them! There are some beautiful books that can be used as an easy way to style a coffee table. The book covers add colour to the table and stacking them adds height to the display. Books not only look great, but can be a conversation piece for guests.
5. Use What You Have
There is no reason to go out and buy new items to style your coffee table. Displaying everyday items in different ways can be eye catching and easy to do. Try to use items you already have, that you may not usually put on display. A bowl of lemons, like above, looks great amongst other items on a coffee table. Think of different way to display vases, bottles, candles, books and trinkets, you will be surprised what you can come up with!
