Choosing grey for the kitchen suits a whole range of styles, from country style to modern minimalism, making it a great neutral choice, and it won’t date as quickly as other colours. Grey tones work beautifully with different shades of timber and stone, while complementing metallic touches in silver, gold and brass, it really is a versatile shade to choose for the kitchen. It may not be a colour everyone loves, but it is far from boring.

It works beautifully as a complementary colour to others, meaning you don’t have to use it everywhere in the kitchen, use it just on the splash back or cabinetry, with other surfaces in another colour.
